When searching for a new wooden sprung dance floor for their studio, Keyworth School of Theatre Dance soon found that there was a lot of information – almost too much in fact: “When we started looking into sprung floors we were overwhelmed by the amount of information there was,” said Kirsty Callender, Co-Principal at KSTD. “After speaking to Sharon at Le Mark we felt immediately satisfied and understood”.

Meadow™ Sprung’s semi-permanent attribute was key to KSTD’s needs, as the studio currently rents a church hall and were unable to permanently install a wooden floor. “Meadow™ Sprung ticked all of the boxes,” explained Kirsty: “with the addition of Cadenza™, it’s suitable for dancers of all ages, can be taken up and re-laid in a new location if needed and caters for all theatre dance genres, as well as the needs of other groups who rent the church hall.”

Ann Marchant, Co-Principal, said that they couldn’t be happier with their new dance floor: “All of the teaching staff and pupils are delighted with the new floor: it has made such a difference to our classes!”

KSTD provides tuition for a wide range of dance styles, including: Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Street Dance and Musical Theatre to name a few. KSTD has had a lot of success over the years in competitions and festivals; some pupils have successfully auditioned for stage, television, pantomime and prestigious full-time dance colleges.
