Vinyl dance floors are easy to install and remove
Vinyl floors can be installed in a fraction of the time of traditional sprung floors. Often only requiring basic tools for trimming edges and splicing lengths together. As a result, many studios choose to install their vinyl floor themselves, saving on professional installation costs.
In addition, when loosely laid (not heat-welded or glued), vinyl floors can be easily removed. Studios with short-term leases often install their floor semi-permanently by splicing the joins with dance floor tape and securing the edges with an approved double-sided tape. As a result, your vinyl floor can be removed and taken to a new venue if required.
In contrast, heat-welding the joins or glueing your dance floor does require specialist equipment and skills. However, this method is an excellent option for long-term installations, requiring less maintenance and a more visually pleasing finish.
